Start the day with a Chia & Goji Berry Bircher Bowl
These Chia & Goji Berry Bircher bowls are a great way to start the morning. Tasty, healthy & satisfying to fuel your day! The goji berries go lovely and plump adding a nice punch of flavour. You can make this the night before and double the quantity so you have it prepared for a few days. Alternatively if you leave it for an hour that’ll also be enough time for the chia to work its magic.
Top with your favourite fruit
I’ve soaked chia seeds, oats, goji berries and a few mixed seeds with milk and stirred through a little maple syrup to sweeten. Pop it in the fridge ready for the next morning. Then top with your favourite fruit and some yoghurt. For this recipe I’ve used tinned peaches because fresh fruit was a bit tricky to source when I went shopping. They’re just as tasty, plus you get the tasty peach juice to pour over your breakfast bowl!
Delicious all year round
You could use any fruit to mix it up, during the Winter it might be nice to gently heat some apples and pears with a pinch of cinnamon. Or for the Summer, sliced fresh strawberries and banana. Tinned and frozen fruit is a great shout because they taste just as good, are often cheaper and last a lot longer.

Chia & Goji Berry Bircher Bowl
Ingredients
- 100g Oats
- 2 tbsp Chia seeda
- 1 tbsp Mixed seeds e.g. pumpkin, sunflower, linseed
- 350ml Milk
- 1 tbsp Goji berries
- 1 tbsp Maple syrup
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- ½ Tin of peaches in juice Roughly 200g
- 2 tbsp Yoghurt
Instructions
- Stir the oats, seeds, maple syrup, vanilla, goji berries and milk in a large bowl or tupperware. Cover then pop into the fridge and leave over night.
- In the morning, serve the bircher with a dollop of yoghurt, tinned peaches and a few goji berries. Drizzle some peach juice over the top and enjoy.
